Mary Boppell Johnston Papers 1915-2004 1955-1982

Personal records of Dr. Mary Boppell Johnston, former professor and department chair of the Home Economics Department of Whitworth College, Spokane, Washington, 1941-1961. Following graduate work in a Ph. D. program at the University of Wisconsin, she published her thesis on the training needs of Americans working overseas, widely read and used by organizations sending personnel abroad. Dr. Johnston also chaired the Home Economics Department at Eastern Washington State University, Cheney, Washington.
